The Gift of the Spirit (John 16:4-33)

Jesus spends the final evening before his betrayal and crucifixion instructing his disciples on how to follow him once he returns to the Father. As he is about to be betrayed, deserted, and denied, Jesus washes the feet of his disciples as if he were their slave and not their Lord. Then, he promises that it is better for them that he go so that he can send to them the Spirit of Truth.
